Privacy Policy

Timeion is an attendance and payroll management software designed to help organizations monitor employee attendance, work hours, and payroll-related records. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users and safeguarding the information shared with us.

What We Collect

Timeion may collect the following information:

  • Employee name, employee ID, designation, and department
  • Attendance records (check-in, check-out, work hours, leave data)
  • Payroll-related data entered by the employer
  • Company details such as organization name and contact information
  • Login credentials and basic usage data for system access
  • Device location (GPS), including background location, when live location tracking is enabled by the organization

We do not collect personal data unrelated to attendance or payroll management.

Location Information

For organizations that enable live location tracking, the Timeion Staff mobile app collects the employee's device location — including precise (GPS) location and location collected in the background, that is, even when the app is closed or not in use — during the employee's active work shift.

  • Background location is collected only while the employee is on an active shift (after punch-in and before punch-out or shift end) and stops outside the shift window.
  • Location is used solely to verify attendance and field-staff presence for the employee's own employer.
  • Location data is shared only with the employee's employer (the organization that subscribes to Timeion). It is not sold, rented, or shared with any other third party.
  • Employees are shown an in-app disclosure and must give consent before any location is collected, and can revoke location permission at any time from their device settings, which stops background tracking.
  • While background tracking is active, a persistent notification is shown on the employee's device.

Location tracking is an optional feature that an organization may turn on or off. Where it is off, the app does not collect location in the background.

How We Use the Data

The data collected is used strictly to:

  • Record and manage daily attendance
  • Generate payroll and attendance reports
  • Improve system performance and user experience
  • Provide customer support and service updates

Timeion does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Employee Replacement or Resignation

If an employee resigns or is replaced, the subscription linked to that employee remains valid for the organization. The employer may reassign the license to another employee without any impact on the Timeion service.

Data Retention

Attendance and payroll data is retained as long as the organization maintains an active subscription or as required by applicable laws.
